Britta brings with her a commitment to working with clients to actualize their potential and benefit from the many adventures that life offers. Britta reinforces that regardless of what has you stuck in the mud, humor, laughing out loud, and a zest for getting out of your comfort zone can make the mud more bearable (and even a little bit fun). Britta met Molly and Kirsten serendipitously at a training in sensorimotor psychotherapy and that meeting proved to be kismet. After learning more about all that is Beacon, Britta couldn’t wait to jump on board and begin a new adventure with her new Beacon family in New York.
Britta has a Master’s Degree from Loyola University in New Orleans and utilized that degree largely to assist a population suffering from the destruction left behind by Katrina’s wake in one of America’s liveliest and jazziest cities. Her focus in working with the chronically, severely mentally ill in the worst sections of the city chiefly centered on addiction but grew into much more than that as her clients often required alternate treatments. After several years, Britta left mental health to start her own business and brings with her insight into growing and championing all that is Beacon!
In her time away from work, Britta loves to exercise, emote over her one-eyed Chug (Chihuahua-Pug mix), and get lost in any old book (the English major in her never died).
